FC UTRECHT PLAYER ID CAMP

In May 2014, Webster Groves United Soccer Club held its first Player ID Camp with coaches from FC Utrecht, a Dutch First Division Professional Team. FC Utrecht has 16 youth soccer club affiliates in North America and we are one of them. Each year, their coaches evaluate the talent in North America, looking for players that can compete in their Dutch Youth Academy.

Alex Pama and Kai Haaskivi made the trip to Webster Groves this spring and trained 75 WGUNITED players from ages 8-14 for three consecutive days. We practiced for three hours in the rain on the first night and then moved over to Blackburn Park for the final two nights.

ALEX & KAI VISIT WEBSTER GROVES

Alex and Kai spent their days touring St. Louis with Coach Weber and provind invaluable feedback on WGUNITED and our coaching style. They worked with our players for 3 hours each night and went out with coaches, board members and parents until the wee hours of the night. Kai has a home next to Marc Bulger (former Rams quarterback) in Florida and could not belive that he has a picture up on the wall at Pappy's!

EIGHT PLAYERS SELECTED FOR NATIONAL CAMP

Alex and Kai rated our top players and compared them to other players in the North American Academy. They selected 8 players, all girls, to attend the highly competitive National Camp in Georgia.
